the pluto work offered me an opportunity to do deeply personal, ancestral, spiritual healing work while fully facing and confronting the horrific realities of these times we are living through: institutional collapse, plutocracy, climate crisis, mounting authoritarianism, and the raw and festering wounds of centuries of white supremacy and genocide. this is an authentic healing framework for embodying transformation, unlearning, and repatterning to co-create life-affirming ways of being and doing, starting from the inside out. hummingbird is the real deal—a gifted astrologer, fiercely intelligent, skilled in well-honed healing practices, intimately connected to her own spiritual guidance, and authentically open and humble enough to walk aside as a partner on the journey rather than the detached guru-type presence that healing practitioners so easily default to within systems of domination. the depth and breadth of astrological content offered a roadmap for me to track my own journey to healing myself and unlocking my contributions and responsibilities in this historical moment. the mind-body-spirit modalities and readings offered by hummingbird allowed new self-awareness to integrate and settle into my body, revealing surprising blessings of wonder, patience, and self-compassion. if you want to skip over the messy, human, grief-laden dimensions of spiritual work, go see another practitioner! but if you want to allow the powerful times we are living in to pierce your heart, and expand your courage and capacity, i strongly recommend the pluto work with hummingbird.

I learned a lot from this work, addressing major life questions and concerns while acknowledging that the answers are still unfolding. I gained insights into karma, humanity, and the concept of deep time, which helped me understand and value my anxiety related to my ancestry, family, society, and personal experiences. This journey provided clarity on emotional issues I’ve carried and helped me process both trauma and a sense of incompleteness and aloneness in my life.

Hummingbird was incredibly supportive, offering wisdom and intuition that helped me understand and work through my emotions, ancestral trauma, and attachment style. My life isn’t “fixed,” it is in some ways really messy, but messy like a delicious ripe mango on a hot day and the taste is a felt sense of all the connections, chaos and creative energy it was giving and wanting for me to be fed, while also wanting to feed more than what my mouth and belly can give. I feel aligned and connected to spheres beyond time and space. I can experience my humanity, emotions and insights of this life more kindly, courageously, and honestly, and look to the planets and life itself, for guidance into finding 'the gift' of it all, as it really is a gift. I plan to continue working with Hummingbird because of the alignment and understanding she has provided, and I deeply value her trauma-informed approach that combines somatics, culture, and astrology. As a trauma-informed and eclectic psychologist, I recommend this work to many and look forward to continued growth and healing with Hummingbird’s presence.

Working with Hummingbird in the Pluto Work has been incredibly supportive and rich!
